This week’s news:
- Traffic safety reminders: When driving students to school, please help keep all our students safe, and our relations with our neighbors respectful by:
- Arriving to the school area by 7:45am so you have ample time to walk your student up to the gate or drop off using our safety valet areas. Traffic is formidable, so we appreciate your family planning accordingly;
- Parking away from stop signs, driveways, and fire hydrants. Please only park on streets north, east, west of 2nd, Las Palmas, June, respectively;
- Continuing straight through on each street around school (NO U-TURNS);
- Using crosswalks to cross the streets
- Making Caring Common gets started in the classrooms
More than 50 parent volunteers will be going into every classroom this month as part of our Making Caring Common program, helping to spread kindness throughout 3rd Street and beyond. This month’s lesson will focus on Understanding and Navigating Emotions.
Also, congratulations to Ms. Rachel Park’s 3rd grade KDLP class, August’s kindest class of the month. They will receive a free Levain cookie party!
